Rider Course Summary:
Upon successfully completing the Basic Rider Course you will receive an MSF course completion card which entitles you to a 10% limited Massachusetts motorcycle discount and tuition reimbursement through some manufacturer programs. Students must complete a 5 hour on-line e-Course and exam (within 30 day prior to your riding session), back to back riding sessions and pass a riding skill evaluation to graduate from this course.
The course emphasizes the risk involved with riding a motorcycle. These risks also exist while one practice rides during the course. Students must be, at a minimum, able to balance and ride a bicycle.
Students unable to keep pace with the class or who pose a hazard to themselves or others may be dismissed from the class by their Coach(es).
There will be no refunds, pro-rated or in full, should students be dismissed by the Coach(es). Statewide approximately 90% of students successfully complete this course their first time. Please understand that this course has a group learning format that limits the ability of the Coaches to provide individual instructions to students. These courses are mentally and physically demanding, and weather conditions can increase stress on students.
All students must bring to practice:
-A valid driver’s license; or the student must have learner’s permit, or obtain a learners permit within 90 days of passing the course to qualify for licensing.
-A photocopy of the original learner’s permit or driver’s license which we will keep
-A copy of the student’s completion certificate from their e-Course homework assignment, which we will keep
-Students under the age of 18 will need to complete and return to the office a parental permission form prior to the first class meeting signed by their parent/guardian

If you arrive late to class or practice and are not allowed to participate.
If you are dismissed by the Rider Coach,
Reschedule Policy:
Students may reschedule to another class once within the calendar year on a space available basis. Students will be charged $100.00 if rescheduling 2-5 days before the start of class, $50.00 6-10 days before the start of class. Within 48 hours of an assigned class there will be absolutely no rescheduling permitted. Failure to attend your scheduled class will result in a total loss of fees.
Additional Fees:
Students may retake the riding skill evaluation only once for any one class. Students must return to the training site for their second test and must do so within 14 days of the class completion date. All such retakes will be subject to a non-refundable $50.00 charge. Option 2: You will be charged $200.00 to retake day 2 of the Riding Section and a second riding evaluation exam.
Students under 18 who want to obtain a motorcycle endorsement or license must also have a driver education certificate issued by the Registrar and have held a permit for six months prior to the application for the motorcycle endorsement. Anyone 16 years or older can take the course regardless of their driver’s license status.
